How I keep my anxiety in check:

1. Workout. It make me take long breathes which I don’t do otherwise
2. Watching comedy. Rise of happy hormones.
3. Postive self talk. Promising myself to stand by me. Promising myself to forgive and love me. Compassion to myself makes me ease up.
5. Massaging my arms , my head , my legs. Hugging myself. It releases happy hormones.
6. Sleep. One solution for many problems as ane when I have time. If you get nightmares sleeping is distressful. I have been through that phase. I still get nightmares. But, sleeping is no doubt helpful in long run. If you lose people or are harassed on a daily basis, nightmares ate possible but, try to sleep. Insomnia is a thing but lack of sleep can make you go crazy too.
7. Developing patience . Writing exercises instead of venting to people. Writing poems and playing music.
8. Listening to speakers who have a good voice. A good voice matters. Watching srk movies. Or someone’s movie which can detach you from the real world.
9. Following a self care routine like taking double or triple bath. Grooming nails, and hair.
10. Thinking about good times , real or imaginary.
11. Staying occupied with something with a deadline. I have done this at a time when I was going through self rejection. I studied for long hours after working hours in a full time job. This was somewhat useful. But, this is abnormal. You don’t do it until you go through extremely depressing things. It’s beneficial in short term for you and your employer because you don’t take breaks or weekends off. But, in long term, it’s suicidal for your company and you.
12. Fall in love 😂. It heals you tremendously. Though it is risky. You are not in the best state to preserve love if you have anxiety issues. You can’t even know if you want to settle with this love or you are comfortably passing time until you heal. And, god forbid, if break up happens before you are ready for it, you shatter again.
13. Meditate. I don’t. I don’t know how. But, may be if solitude is a thing for you , you can try.
